Motorsports
Central Finland is the birthplace of many Finnish rally heroes and the home of the annual Neste Oil Rally in August. A wide range of motorsports can be enjoyed here. Be the co-driver or grab the wheel yourself!

Downhill rally car racing
In the summer, one of the slopes in Laajavuori Ski Center in Jyväskylä transforms into a car racing track. It's crazy, it's safe, it's fun.

Hiking & walking
You can traverse Central Finland on foot as well. The nature trail network in Finland is extensive and well-maintained. Central Finland offers many delightful routes for biking. Long and short tours take you around lakes and up and down scenic hills. Biking in Finland is easy as there are plenty of biking paths in towns and in the countryside alike. Downhill and off-road bicycling
Come and find some serious off-road challenges in the Central Finnish forests! Many leisure service providers offer guided tours and/or equipment rental for off-road biking. Contact the Jyväskylä Region Tourist Office for details.
There are also two Nordic Bike Parks in the region, Himos Bike Park and Laajavuori Bike Park, where you can feel the thrill of riding hard and fast down the slopes and forest paths of the local ski centers.
Golf
